Ancient Spirit. Modern Power.
The music of VARGA
VARGA is the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap — a fusion of trap-driven production, Nordic folk heritage, cinematic soundscapes and the raw energy of rock.
The duo are Stori and Reign, and every release arrives on Nordlys Recordings. Where a release has a playable game, its page links straight into it.

Run Little Sister
Links to comeRun Little Sister is the seventh single by VARGA, the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap, released on Nordlys Recordings as catalogue NR007. It is sung from the monster’s side — Jörmungandr, child of giants, eater of the world — grieving the girl he could not save from himself.
The Power of Love
Links to comeThe Power of Love is the sixth single by VARGA, the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap, released on Nordlys Recordings as catalogue NR006. It stands outside The Viking Chronicles — a power ballad about devotion that hasn’t been answered yet, sung to someone who doesn’t know.
Distant Thunder
NR005Distant Thunder is the fifth single by VARGA, the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap, released on Nordlys Recordings as NR005. It is the waiting half of the story — one of them away at war, the other holding the cliffs through a storm, and a sail appearing on the horizon at the very end.
Row for Norway
NR004Row for Norway is the fourth single by VARGA, the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap, released on Nordlys Recordings as NR004. It is the crowd song of the set — a rowing chant built for a stadium, and the release also carries two "Raise the Banner" edits, including a World Cup stadium version.
Sail for Valhalla
NR003Sail for Valhalla is the third single by VARGA, the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap, released on Nordlys Recordings as NR003, and the track the playable game of the same name is built on. It is the leaving — a longship pulling out of the fjord, a promise made on the shore, and a single sail receding into cold water.
Divided We Fall
NR002Divided We Fall is the second single by VARGA, the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap, released on Nordlys Recordings as NR002. It is the one release with no mythology in it: two people, one microphone, an empty concrete room shot in black and white — the song about division staged as two voices forced to share a single mic.
Iron OathDebut
NR001Iron Oath is the debut single by VARGA, the Nordic duo behind Neo Viking Rock Trap, released on Nordlys Recordings as catalogue NR001. It is the first chapter of The Viking Chronicles — a war-band making landfall at dawn and swearing the oath that binds them.
